Simple shape and Japanese engraving
“Subaru” is the Japanese name for Pleiades. Since ancient times, “Subaru” is loved not only in Japan, but also around the world and can be found in various poems and stories. Japanese jewelry, as it has developed since the Meiji period (1868-1912) based on Japanese metal craft work, has traveled a unique path that is different from European jewelry. The Japanese engraving technique used in this Subaru is representative of that path.
This is a design that can be worn reversibly with a delicately engraved pattern using a Japanese traditional technique, wabori on one side, and a diamond placed peacefully upon a mat surface on the other side.
