Delicately engraved Japanese motifs

A tool called a cold chisel is used to carve into the metal around the diamond and keep it in place. Setting a diamond artfully is a skill that requires long training. We have also been very meticulous about the beauty of the sides. Jewelry is something that you can view from all angles. This philosophy is why we pay careful attention to even the form of the sides as we design.

The meaning of our engraved patterns

Four-leafed Clover

Good luck symbol

  • Gekko Four-leafed Clover

Violet

The violet is a herald of spring. In Japan, it is a flower that is loved like the sakura.

  • Gekko Violet

Cosmos

Cosmos is one of Japan’s autumn flowers. This beautiful flower is like daisy, only purple colored and larger. Ours is a geometric expression of cosmos.

Namiha (Leaves, blown by wind, look like waves)

This piece expresses green grass, bending in the wind like waves. It represents the life force.

Arabesque

The arabesque is a pattern that has been used in both the East and the West, now and in the past. It also appeared in Japan in the past, via the Silk Road. It is a symbol of prosperity and long life.

A floating diamond

A single diamond sparkles on the reverse face to the engraved pattern. The diamond has been set to look as if it is floating in the air. It is the “moonlight,” the light that shines in the crescent moon.

The front and reverse faces have been created to have dimensionality and are formed so as to be slightly out of alignment. A glimpse of silver, polished to a mirror-like effect, peeks through from the opening of the crescent moon. A beautiful contrast is created between the front of the pendant, with its matte surface and diamond, and the silver glittering on the reverse.
