Sterling Silver Sapphire Earrings with Japanese Engraving Bespoke

Could you make earrings with Japanese Engraving and some sapphire?

This custom-made product was born from such a request.

The surface set with sapphires is shined smoothly, while the surface with Japanese engravings is finely matted.

In this way, the difference in texture between the two surfaces stands out and makes it easier to recognize the three-dimensional effect and the sparkling effect of the Japanese engraving.

We discussed with the customer about the pattern of Japanese engraving, and decided to carve a bamboo pattern.

The base of these earrings is half solid shape with perfect symmetry.

In this case, the designer first designed and modeled it using CAD, and then output a resin prototype using a 3D printer.

Then, the resin prototype is replaced with metal using casting (a technique of pouring liquid metal into a mold), and finished by hand by skilled craftsmen.

Finally, a skilled Japanese metal engraver sets the sapphire stones in the earrings and engraves them at the same time to complete the process.

Although it is difficult to imagine from the finished product, many hands are actually involved in such a small piece of jewelry.

The customer who requested this project was from overseas.

He found SHINKO STUDIO through an Internet search, and we proceeded with the order by e-mail or in person.
