Pt950/K18 Two-tone Color Diamond Pendant Bespoke

We reformed a customer’s existing solitaire ring, which had a diamond set in it, into a two-tone pendant.
The design is playful, with the diamond set in a graphically shaped platinum and gold setting.

The structure of the pendant can be seen when viewed from the side.
The diamond is set only in the back portion, which is surrounded by the metal, without any prongs on the girdle portion at the front of the photo.
The platinum and gold body utilizes a combination of areas with a fine, feathery matte finish and areas with a smooth, mirror-like finish.

The back of the pendant has a clean, minimalist design, free of unnecessary elements.
The bail can be attached to either a chain or a wire chain.

Even if a designer comes up with a design, it can’t begin without a craftsman to actually create it.
What kind of stone setting is possible?
What kind of structure should the back be?
Is the balance with the wire correct?
Sometimes, unexpected suggestions from the craftsman can make it a reality.
Since we’re going to the trouble of reforming and transforming a piece into something new, we always want to create new jewelry that excites both the customer and ourselves.
