Pt950 Pear Shaped Diamond Ring Bespoke

This is a bespoke ring featuring a pear-shaped diamond.
The diamond was originally set in a pendant, and the customer inherited it from a friend who lived abroad.
She decided to have it remade into an item that would be easier for her to wear in her daily life.

The ring’s height was kept as low as possible to prevent it from catching on things. The band of the ring was extended to form part of the prongs that hold the stone.
We checked the overall form using a resin model printed with a 3D printer, and consulted with the customer to determine the ring’s thickness and volume.

The ring’s shape is quite sleek when viewed from the side.
Pear-shaped stones are well-suited to this type of ring design because, compared to typical round-cut stones, they have a lower height relative to their size.

With simple jewelry, even slight differences in details like the thickness of the band or the size of the prongs can greatly influence the final impression.
