We will take part in the “‘Just my style’ wedding jewelry exhibition,” which will be held at the Ginza AC, Gallery between Tuesday, May 22nd and Sunday, May 27th.
Together with outstanding artists of the likes of jewelry, dresses, and welcome boards, Shinko Studio will also exhibit wedding jewelry.
Here, Shinko Studio will unveil wedding rings designed around the theme of “husband and wife retaining separate family names.” In Japan, when Japanese people marry each other, they must use the same surname. On January 9th this year, a hearing calling for separate family names for husband and wife was held for four people, including Cybozu’s president Yoshihisa Aono, at the Tokyo District Court.

This hearing proposes freedom of choice, allowing those couples who want to have the same surname the ability to choose to have it, and those who don’t the ability to choose not to have it.
