As a gift from the client to her family members, we created four platinum tie tacks.<\/p>\r\n

The matte finished surface is engraved with each person’s initials in Japanese engraving.<\/p>\r\n

This hexagonal shape is called ‘kikko’ in Japanese.<\/p>\r\n

Kikko means turtle’s shell. It is one of the traditional Japanese auspicious designs introduced from China and Korea in ancient times.<\/p>\r\n

It is said that the name “kikko” came about because it literally resembles the pattern of a turtle’s shell.<\/p>\r\n

The kikko pattern is considered to be a auspicious pattern in reference to the fact that turtles live a very long life.<\/p>\r\n

We make a variety of custom-made jewelry, but there are not many opportunities for us to make four pieces at the same time.<\/p>\r\n

That is why we wanted to make them in a continuous form so that they would feel a family bond even when they are used separately.<\/p>\r\n

The Japanese engravings are hand-carved one by one by Japanese engraver.<\/p>\r\n

The simple regular hexagonal shape enhances the beauty of the sharply shining letters, resulting in an easy-to-use tie tack.<\/p>\r\n
