Jewelry Artist, Kazuko Nishibayashi at SHINKO STUDIO in Tokyo May 25th (Thu) – 28(Sun)

May 25th (Thu) – 28(Sun), an Exhibition of the Works of Kazuko Nishibayashi  Exhibition Extra Edition at SHINKO STUDIO.
May 13th (Sat) – The solo exhibition of Kazuko Nishibayashi that was held in the AC Gallery in Ginza ended successfully. We have received many requests from SHINKO STUDIO’s  clients asking to be able to see the works of Kazuko Nishibayashi at the SHINKO STUDIO store, but we thought it would be difficult to make such arrangements because of the fact that Kazuko is scheduled to return to Germany next month. However, a few days ago, we received word from Kazuko that she would be able to lend us her works from May 25th (Thu) until May 28th (Sun). Furthermore, I am told that she will be able to personally come to the store for us on Saturday, the 27th, from 2:00 to 5:00.

An Energetic Release of New Work Kazuko Nishibayashi.

What was particularly surprising about the solo exhibition that was on release at Ginza was the fact that more than half of the things shown were new pieces. For example, these titanium bracelets are actually made from plates of identical shapes joined together.

Rings with an Illusive “Floating Gemstone” Setting Design

Do they all excite you?”A solo exhibition is a place of experimentation,” Kazuko says. It seems that she tentatively tries out new things and then proceeds to make modifications, little by little. She says that there are many cases where it takes years to turn something into a satisfactory work of art.

Prices range from below ¥30,000. In an artwork exhibition, there are always many large items, so, this time, it seems that we may even receive some orders for smaller items of the same shapes.

The Reason for Presenting Jewelry Artist Kazuko Nishibayashi’s Work

At Shinko Studio, there is a fundamental idea of making things “for those who live life single-heartedly” and selling them. Through the Help of the Recent Solo Exhibition in Ginza. We know that Ms. Nishibayashi’s work is, in reality, certainly a struggle. She is a very gentle person, but she also has what seems to be the intense dedication of someone who has lived alone in Germany for over 20 years.

In her works, it feels as though there is a flexibility and a strength that could help the people of today. And yet, it is subtle, muted, and not overstated in the least.

May 25th (Thu) – May 28th (Sun) – Please stop by the Shinko Studio storefront.
